Brief Description of Work:  This position performs complex professional work in business requirements analysis, project management, technical consultation, and in the design and preparation of system integrations. This position will assist with the development of creative and highly technical solutions within specified time frames.   In addition, this position serves as a liaison between the IT Department and other departments or individuals to understand and evaluate workflows, structure and operations of the organization so that recommendations can be made on possible solutions to assist with the agency achieving its goals.      

Education and Experience Required:  Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of business analyst and project management experience; or graduation from a technical school or community college with a two-year degree in an information technology field and 5 years of business analyst and project management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that includes managing projects and complex software applications including client service and web based applications.  A valid driver’s license is required.

Education and Experience Preferred:  Bachelor’s Degree in an information technology field and 3 years of business analyst and project management experience.

At a Glance:  This position provides daily supervision, monitoring, reporting, analysis, reconciliation, and coordination of the claims adjudication and claims payment process. This will consist of ensuring service provider claims are processed and correctly paid within the State’s Prompt Claim Payment requirements.

Education/Experience Required:  Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting, Business, Public or Hospital Administration, five (5) years of experience in medical claims processing including four (4) years of experience in business or governmental programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that includes five (5) years of medical claims processing.  Must have three (3) years of administrative supervisory experience.

Education/Experience Preferred:  Coding credentials such as CCS, CCS-P, and CPC.  Strong preference for RHIT

At a Glance:  This position will evaluate medical necessity, appropriateness and efficiency of the services requested for authorization against established criteria adopted by the LME/MCO. 

 

Education/Experience Required:  A Master’s Degree in a Human Services field with clinical licensure and two (2) years of post-Master’s experience in MHSA or a Registered Nurse with two (2) years of experience in MHSA, post RN degree.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:  Current unrestricted LCSW, LPC, LPA, LMFT or LCAS licensure with the appropriate professional board of licensure in the state of North Carolina or licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the N. C. Board of Nursing.   Employee is responsible for complying with respective licensure board’s continuing education/training requirements in order to maintain an active license.


Special note:  As this position will serve on the internal Inpatient Review Team, an RN or Clinician with inpatient experience is highly desirable.
