Customer Services Clinician

Brief Description of Work:  This position provides the initial screening, triage and referral  (within  the scope of practice) of consumers who call the 24/7/365 toll free access number seeking behavioral health services or anyone calling in with a crisis situation needing immediate assistance. The Access Clinician completes the STR, triages/assesses the consumer’s acuity and determines the type and intensity of service that the consumer needs and is eligible for and links them directly or indirectly with appropriate and available resources within state mandated timelines.

Education and Experience Required: Licensed Clinician or Registered Nurse (RN) and two years of clinical experience in MH/DD/SA.

Legal Counsel

Brief Description of Work: The General Counsel is responsible for the research, review, evaluation and analysis of Federal and State statute/regulations as pertains to the management of the delivery of services for people with mental health, substance abuse and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities conditions under the 1915(b)(c) Waiver.   Other areas of responsibility include advice and counsel on compliance irregularities and Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse and representation of the agency in appeal cases before Administrative Law Judges or in other courts of various jurisdictions. The General Counsel will work to ensure Partners BHM compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. 

 

Education and Experience Required:  A Law Degree (JD) from an accredited Law School, and a minimum of two years’ experience in healthcare and/or managed care.

 

Education and Experience Preferred:  Prefer above experience in behavioral health.

 

Licensure/Certification Requirements:  Licensed as an attorney in good standing in North Carolina or licensed as an attorney in good standing in another state and the ability to become licensed as an attorney in North Carolina within a reasonable timeframe based on North Carolina laws.

Brief Description of Work: This position is responsible for all reports required to meet federal, state, accreditation organization and quality management standards and contractual requirements. This position works closely with the IT department to assure that reports meet specific definitions, are consistent, accurate and timely.  Although this position is not primarily responsible for the databases used, there is direct responsibility to assure that data elements used in the reports are accurate.  This position is the in-house expert on all quality reporting, and has indirect responsibility over all external reporting.  This position works closely with other departments in developing, monitoring and reporting on quality improvement projects.  This position interfaces with the Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis to assure consistency in reporting both clinical and financial data.  Provides direct supervision of the Quality Management Data Analyst(s).
