MH/SA Care Coordinator

Brief Description of Work:  This position is responsible for providing proactive intervention and care coordination (treatment planning, assessment, referral/linkage, and monitoring) to individuals in identified Special Healthcare Needs Populations and high risk high cost populations (as supported by state funding) to ensure that these individuals receive appropriate assessment and services. This is a mobile position with work done in a variety of locations. Generally, the MH/SA Care Coordinator is expected to maintain oversight responsibilities for up to fifty enrollees, whose clinical acuity is ranked from basic benefits level to Special Healthcare Needs.   The MH/SA Adult/Child Care Coordinator may work with consumers in the communities. 

Education and Experience Required: A Master’s degree in a Human Services field with clinical licensure and two years of post-Master’s experience in MH/SA or a Registered Nurse with two (2) years of experience in MH/SA.   A valid driver’s license is required.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: Current unrestricted LCSW, LPC, LPA, LMFT or LCAS licensure with the appropriate professional board of licensure in the state of North Carolina or licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the N. Network Engineer

Primary Purpose of Position:  This position provides network system configuration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and security for the Managed Care Organization's (LME/MCO) network infrastructure which operates 24/7/365.  This position is also the highest tier in routine end-user computer support issues for the agency. 

Education/Experience Required:  Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Information Technologies, Electronics, Telecommunications or Engineering field and five years of relevant experience including experience in the design, installation and maintenance of complex multi-facility TCP/IP networks or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  A valid driver’s license is required.

Education/Experience Preferred:  Certified MCSA/MCSE/MCITP on the latest two server operating systems being used by the agency.  Certified MCITP on the latest sever operating system in use by the agency as well as MCITP: Messaging or Virtualization. VMware VCP on VMware 5 or later.   Special consideration will be given to applicants with extensive experience working with VM Ware View in a live environment, VM Ware VCenter, SANS, NAS Devices, Sonic Wall Firewalls, or Avaya switches.

Education and Experience Required:  Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field, Health Administration, health informatics/analytics, or related field. Minimum of 3 years recent experience in MH/DD/SA, with compliance monitoring, auditing or investigation experience.  A valid driver’s license.

Education and Experience Preferred:  Above degree and 5 years recent experience in MH/DD/SA, experience analyzing complex data, claims processing, utilization reviews, provider credentialing/monitoring, and/or fraud and abuse detection.  Preferred credentials:  Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), and/or certified as an investigator/inspector through the Council on Licensure, Enforcement, and Regulation (CLEAR). Experience with statistical methods preferred.
