Intellectual and developmental disabilities can’t be cured and won’t go away. Discussion, services, and research focuses on improving lives through skill building, creating support, and reducing symptoms. In general, if you live with an intellectual or developmental disability, you may struggle with getting around or motor skills, personal care, or socialization and communication.
