Forsyth County unanimously approves plan to move to Partners Health Management

On May 20, 2021, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to give final approval of its plan to move the management of the county’s behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disability services from Cardinal Innovations Healthcare to Partners Health Management. The plan will be sent to the Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services for review in June. Once submitted to NC DHHS, Secretary Mandy Cohen will review the plan, and if approved, will identify a transition date.

In response to the vote, Partners CEO Rhett Melton said, “We remain humbled and flattered that Forsyth County has recognized the value Partners’ model of close collaboration with our communities and stakeholders brings to the members and families we serve. We will continue working closely with Forsyth County leadership in the weeks and months ahead and are looking forward to the opportunity to expand our efforts to improve lives and strengthen communities.”
